Software Innovation and Octaga has entered into OEM Agreement
(Oslo, 21.1.2010) Software Innovation AS and Octaga AS has entered into an OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) agreement regarding distribution rights of Octaga's 3D viewing software Octaga Enterprise for their product ProArc BIM. Octaga AS specializes in developing state-of-the-art 3D viewing tools that are easy to integrate with products such as ProArc. Octaga has been supporting 3D viewing for the buildingSMART/BIM market through support for IFC since 2004. Octaga's 3D viewing components for BIM are today considered world- class and are in use by companies such as Jotne EPM Technology, Nosyko, Asite, Rambøll Denmark, and Holte Byggsafe. "BIM is gaining more and more market traction, and there is a need for Octaga Enterprise as an intuitive and scalable 3D viewing solution. We are very excited about the potential of ProArc BIM", says CEO at Octaga, Ola Ødegård. Software Innovation uses the Octaga Enterprise SDK (development tool) for easy integration in ProArc 6 and will be launching the new product in March 2010. Octaga Enterprise supports the IFC format in addition to proprietary and ISO-based CAD formats.
Software Innovation is releasing their ECM (Enterprise Content Management) solution with IFC support in their ProArc BIM software in March 2010. "The 3D viewer from Octaga will be an important part of that. The construction industry will be our main focus in the coming years," says Business Development Manager Beate Adams Størkson.
