The latest development of the Octaga technology platform is support for real-time datastreams in the 3D model. Octaga software can now read continuous input data coming from external sensor equipment. This could be positioning data (GPS) within the 3D plane, sensor data from alarms, valves or pipes located remotely and passed through an OPC server. This presents a number of new application areas for 3D technology and represents the entry of Octaga into Integrated Operations. The technology has been prototyped on behalf of ABB Safety and Automation Systems to be used to monitor moving cranes onboard ships. Monitoring can be shared and dirstibuted to several locations.
